If you are in a MAC Lab (304 or 318) use these directions to save your work:
Saving an image for a PowerPoint presentation:
Go to
google.com
Type a search term such as “Stonehenge” in the search window, then click on “Images” link at the top of the page.
Do NOT save the “thumbnail”—the small picture that appears. If you do, the quality of your picture will be poor.
Click on the “thumbnail.”
If there is a link that says “Full size image” on the right-hand side of the page, click on it.
Create a title for the image if necessary.
Click on the “Save” button. Save your file on the desktop.
Drag the image into the "My Documents" folder located in the dock underneath the Word icon on the left-hand side of the page.
Saving a file (Word document, PP presentation, etc.):
Save the file on the desktop.
Drag the file into the "My Documents" folder located in the dock underneath the Word icon on the left-hand side of the page.
